Terms of Service
Last updated: July 12, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Glowgle apps and website. By creating an account or using Glowgle, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What Glowgle is
Glowgle is a marketplace that connects customers who need home services, such as holiday and architectural lighting installation: with independent technicians who bid on and perform that work. Glowgle provides the platform: job posting, bidding, in-app chat, scheduling, and payment tools. Glowgle does not itself perform installation or repair work.
Technicians on Glowgle are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of Glowgle. Technicians set their own bids, schedules, and methods of work, and are solely responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of the services they perform.
2. Quotes, bidding, and negotiation
Customers post a job describing the work they need. Technicians respond with bids, and either side may negotiate the price and scope through in-app chat before a bid is accepted. Once a customer accepts a bid, whether the technician's original bid or a negotiated counter-offer: that accepted price becomes the binding price for the job. Changes to scope after acceptance should be agreed by both parties and may result in a revised price.
3. Payments
Payments for jobs are processed in-app. Glowgle charges technicians a platform fee of 30% of the accepted job price; the technician receives the remainder after the job is completed and paid. Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe, and are subject to Stripe's own terms. By accepting or paying for a job through Glowgle, you authorize the applicable charge to your saved payment method.
4. Cancellations
Either the customer or the technician may cancel a job at no charge any time before work begins. Once work has started, cancellation may result in a charge for work already performed or materials already purchased, as agreed between the parties. We may update this cancellation policy from time to time; where a change materially affects how cancellations are handled, we will provide notice in the app before it takes effect.
5. User content and conduct
You agree to provide accurate information in your profile, job posts, bids, and messages. You may not post abusive, harassing, discriminatory, fraudulent, or otherwise unlawful content, and you may not use Glowgle to solicit business outside the platform in a way that circumvents platform fees.
Glowgle may remove content that violates these terms and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or otherwise misuse the platform, at our discretion and with or without notice depending on severity.
6. Disputes between users
If a disagreement arises between a customer and a technician about a job, including quality of work, scope, or payment: please contact our support team first at halenhomes7@gmail.com. We will do our best to help mediate a resolution, though Glowgle is not obligated to resolve disputes in any particular way.
7. Limitation of liability
Glowgle is not a party to the service contract formed between a customer and a technician when a bid is accepted, that agreement is between the customer and the technician directly. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glowgle is not liable for the acts, omissions, work quality, or conduct of any customer or technician, and our liability for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the platform fees we received in connection with the job giving rise to the claim.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Glowgle's features change, including the launch of in-app payments. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of Glowgle after an update means you accept the revised terms.
